Sushi Rice Cooker for Sushi Recipes
My first rice cooker was a Aroma Rice Cooker & Food Steamer. I used the rice cooker for eight years. I liked the steaming tray that came with it, however when it came to cooking the rice the bottom of the pan got too hot and would always burn a portion of the rice that was baked and became crusty on the bottom of the pan. I always ended up throwing away some rice because of it. I was fed up with using it, so I bout the Tiger America 10 c. Elecectric Rice Cookerrice cooker about six months ago (I have a new video on how to make rice with it) and I am thrilled with it. Gone are the old days of wasting rice. The rice comes out perfect every time. It’s truly an investment, I would have gladly spent the extra money on a quality rice cooker not only for the perfect sushi rice every time but they rice cooker can last 10 plus years!
How to Choose the Best Rice Cooker
Rice cookers, although not necessarily required, can help people solve various food preparation problems. They are great options for people who need to program appliances to have dinner ready at the end of a busy day, or for students who need to be able to cook in a small space. They are also great options for those who enjoy preparing sushi, or for those who have difficulty getting the results they want when cooking rice by other methods. If you need a rice cooker, there are many things to consider when choosing which one is best for you
What features do you need?
Rice cookers are available in everything from basic, no-frills models to those with a full range of features. Some of these features include ways to speed cooking, to keep rice warm after it is cooked, to reheat the rice after it is cooked, or to delay the start of the cooking cycle. The more features the cooker has, the higher the price will be so it is important to know which features you need and which you will never use.
How much rice will you cook?
Rice cookers come in many sizes. Will you be making only enough rice for yourself, or do you need to cook large quantities? Make sure you choose a cooker that is specifically designed to handle the serving size you will be preparing. When you try to cook more or less than the recommended amount, the finished product may be of a lower quality taste or texture. You should also consider whether or not you plan to prepare other foods in your cooker. If so, you should choose a model that comes with a steaming tray for vegetables.
What material do you prefer for cooking?
You can find rice cookers that have inner cooking pans made from every imaginable material. You may prefer a nonstick model that allows you to clean it easily, or you may prefer simple stainless steel or anodized aluminum. However, if you are trying to live and eat more naturally, you might prefer a cooking pan made from clay or charcoal.
Other features to consider.
Aside from these considerations, there are still further features to consider when choosing your best rice cooker. A steam vent can help prevent bubbling over, and a transparent lid allows you to see how cooking is progressing. You may also choose a cooking pan with measuring lines if you want a super simple way of measuring rice and water when cooking.
There are so many rice cookers on the market that it can be difficult to choose the right one for your personal needs and preferences. Before you buy, take the time to think about these questions and to find the one that offers exactly the features you need.
